Thanks to the popularity of our hookbaits a lot of you guys keep asking us for the liquids we use, either to cure your hookbaits further or to make more pop ups yourself or to have matching corkballs, wafters, etc.
Here's a selection of gold label glass bottles with the best of the best we can get for you.
- Esterella: By far our most popular pop up over the years, catching loads and loads especially in Winter. Here's the secret blend of two classics bottled up for y'all.
- Belgian Fizz: Our North of Belgium variation of a Northern UK special. Once used in a limited edition corkball in our range and people still keep asking us for it to this day.
- Iceberg: One of our more recent additions in the pop up range and a special blend of spices that sometimes makes one think of a very popular soda. Thicker liquid than the others.
- Choc B: THE old school special turning everything black and sticky. Works wonders in hookbaits but also ideal for the very secret Choc B tigers. Very fluid and ultrarare. Gary Bayes told us this one.
- Peach Juice: Probably the best Peach out there, low inclusion levels needed. Think of OG Juicy Peach.
- Honey Syrup: One we personally liked using from the Hutchy stable back in the 90s, on its own or in combination with fruit flavours such as Mulberry & Ester Cream. We had learned about the pulling power of Honey before, thanks to the thick OG Nutrabaits stuff in the late 80s/early 90s. Very underrated!
- Mulberry Mash: Just like the original Mulberry Florentine, trust us. For the love of Hutchy!
- Thick Squid: The best version of Squid & Octopus we could lay our hands on, you'll love it, the misses won't :-) OG Koi Rearer.
- Black & Blue: Our version of the famous oldschool Blackberry and Blueberry combination. Works well with a couple drops of N-Butyric acid too.
- Shellfish Sense Appeal: This one brings flavour connaisseurs back to the 90s really. Thick black liquid that makes your (hook)bait standing out. Can be perfectly used on its own, personal proven combo's are also 1/2 Shellfish Sense Appeal with 1/4 Indian Spice and 1/4 Malay Spice or 2/3 Shellfish Sense Appeal with 1/3 Mulberry Mash. Works wonders.
- Indian Spice: The good stuff like Nash and Heathrow Bait Services used to have back in the day. Deep yellow towards orange in colour, perfect to use on its own, or in recommended combo like 1/2 Shellfish Sense Appeal with 1/4 Indian Spice and 1/4 Malay Spice or 10ml Indian Spice per egg combined with 6 drops of Black Pepper essential oil (the latter not sold by us).
- Ester Cream: There used to be a lot of good cream flavours on the market, think of Cream of Creams, Evaporated Milk & Ice Cream, Dairy Cream, etc. all different from each other. We decided to relaunch the Ester Cream like Solar used to have on the Continent. Can be used on its own, but very good in combo's too. Ester Cream & Squid Octopus is a hush hush Benelux recipe for instance.
- Red Ester: One sniff and you're back in the 90s! One of Belgium's top flavour guys brought this back for us. Smelling & tasting is believing. Very subtle red berry type flavour.
- Whiskey: Very proud to be able to bring this one to you. Just like the 90s original one from one of the legendary companies.
- Chocolate Malt: Again just like the real deal 80s stuff, not seen this one in this quality from any other company. One of Hutchy's personal favourites and when we chatted to Terry Hearn 2005ish on the Zwolle show (long before Monkey Climber) he showed us chods with his go to Chocolate Malt choddies in white.
- Cajun: A sick blend of our own that stands out in any type of hookbait. Use on its own or with a couple drops of Black Pepper. When testing one of our friends did well on a combination of Cajun and Peach Juice too.
- Rose Oil: A very underrated and really forgotten 80/90s flavour. Mega in both fish and birdfood hookbaits. When bottling this one up, our house smelt of roses for days just like my hands. Just one of those you know they're really really special and good.
- Twenty One: A blend exclusive to us and a mega catcher. Excited from the early tests until now and people we let using it already are not happy we're releasing their edge :-)
- Maple Plus: Think of Mainlines OG Maple Ade this very rich creamy Maple Plus is again of those classics that got forgotten nowadays. Again underrated AF, great on its own or in combination with lots of things but two winners are Maple Squid and Maple Whiskey.
- Lobster Thermidore 50ml: Not the same as the original Hutchy and Nash ones, our Lobster Thermidore is a mix of Lobster and Crayfish Thermidore and needs shaking before using. Quite oily, fatty and combined with a good Scopex you get that Scopex Red Liver effect but now with Lobster Thermidore. Subtle flavour, not strong but works wonders.
- Noddy Blend 50ml: When interviewing Rod Hutchinson himself ten years ago this blend he told us is the best thing ever he told us, a winning combination of his three best flavours ever. Very different and strong, loving it!
- Turbo 50ml: Remember the yellow ltd. ed. Zwolle pop ups we once did with CC Moore's? This is the very same energy drink concentrated attractor (and a dash of Rancid B) to create those much sought after yellow beauties. We know a dozen anglers who could kill someone for a tub :-)
- Bunspice 50ml: Exactly like the 90s SBS and Solar versions this one. Bunspice typically is a nice mix of clove, ginger, cinnamon, caraway and a dash of orange oil. Works typically well in birdfoods and especially when temperatures drop and even in deep Winter but would use it all your round and also with fishmeals tbh.
- Bread Bomb 50ml: Every carp loves bread, not only the parklake ones. Fact. We've had this idea for such a long time but just couldn't source the right components, until now. A very unique tastetract you and the carp will all love. Try it on a white pop up or a light coloured birdfood mix 🙂
- Fresh Apple 50ml: The smell and taste of a tasty bite in a fresh green apple, such an underrated fruit flavour in carp fishing. We've tried and tested several apple flavours over the years and found best results with this one.
- Golden Sweetcorn 50ml: Smells and tastes just like you open a can of fresh sweetcorn, unlike other sweetcorn flavours which often have a more 'burnt' scent. Will also be popuplar with coarse and match angling.
- Whiskey E12 50ml: We know we already have a Whiskey in our range, which is just like Nashy's Whiskey from back in the day. This one though is more fluid, with lots of esters (hence the name E12) and alcohol. Works superb in Winter and anti poisson chat, also mega in combination with the other Whiskey we sell. Very underrated stuff these days.
- Tigernut D.S.: As a young carp angler myself, Richworth had a range of Double Strength flavours on the market. One that was very successful for myself was Tigernut Double Strength, a flavour that has become a bit forgotten these days. We wanted to do something about that with Monkey Climber's Secret Stash range and, after a long search and testing, we now have a version that 100% matches the original Double Strength version we were looking for. One we rate very highly!
- Fruit Salad: When samples of this flavour came from a high quality flavour house only few have access to came to the Monkey Climber HQ we knew instantly this was going to be a winner like the old days. A proper fruit blend with big hints to original 90s Nouvelle Fizz but still very different. When testing one of our mates couldn't just keep his rods in the water. Be warned!
- Tarantula: Due to popular demand from the users of our Tarantula users we've now added our secret Tarantula blend to the range. Think of an old school cajouser mixed up with liquorice and a secret sweet touch of our own.
- Ester Mango: Not one we planned but one our Slovakian distro Rybarstvo Carpio pleaded for. After receiving samples from the couple of renowned flavour houses we work with, there was one head and shoulders above the rest. One that comes very close, if not the same, to Hutchy's original Mango. We bottled these up to the pleasure of our Slovakian friends and the remaining bottles are now available here in limited numbers only.
- LMSB: One of the greatest sweeteners of all time, with a very dark en deep taste. Proper old school stuff originally coming from the UK, with a big legacy in Europe but especially in Belgium. Not to confuse with LMSE, LMSPE and LMSD variants from the same family but totally different. We now secured a solid source that makes it exactly like it used to be.
- Swan Mussel: Probably the best fish flavour we have, very strong and pungent, only low doses needed. Think of the old Hutchy heydays.
- Cherry Black Heart: Hailing back to the very first Dave Thorpe days this one. Cherry Black Heart is somewhat the richest cherry flavour we've known over all the years of collecting and reproducing old flavours.
-
Dairy Supreme: We've got around a dozen of different and very good Dairy flavours in our personal collection/arsenal, but never released one into our own range. Here's the very first version of CCM's Dairy Supreme reproduced, a mega catcher and one of my personal fav ones in a white (corkball) pop up.
- Acid Pear: No need for introduction. Acid Pear in its purest, purest form.
- Juicy Blackberry: One for the connoisseurs. The perfect replica of SBS's popular 80s Juicy Blackberry flavour, a mouthwatering and very tasteful flavour that led to the downfall of many big Belgian fish we know of, including some true blue Albert Canal stunners.
- Green Beast: One of the best flavours we have in the range, working all year round but in a league of its own in cold water. Green Beast originally is a blend coming from one of the cult UK brands and our chemist has managed to replicate a bottle from the 90s in our collection one to one. At shows people not in the know often ask what Green Beast is. Hard to tell, it's blackcurrant at its best, with hints of cassis and other back notes. It's one you really need to try and see for yourself. The results are mega everywhere, all year round (but even better in Winter) and the flavour is being used by many top underground anglers already.
