The product description was inaccurate. It was advertised as a telescopic rod, but in reality only the tip section retracts. The rod is essentially a two-piece design, not a true telescopic rod. Overall, the quality is average at best.
The rod is listed as 'A 2 piece rod with Telescopic Extendable Butt section for more compact storage' with a closed length of 43 to 50 inches depending on the model. Nowhere does it state it is a fully telescopic rod.
I have had the 9ft 2.75TC variant for a few weeks and have caught several carp with this rod paired with a Daiwa 20 GS BR. Largest carp so far is 12lb 6oz. So far this combo has been phenomenal, the rod breaks down much smaller than my 12 foot rods. This is my fun rod, the playing action on the rod makes catching fish an absolute fun time. I am likely going to buy another. These are perfect for the smaller waters like the tiny Rivers in AZ, or the canals. It’s convenient, I feel it can handle large fish, it’s fun to use, what’s not to like.
